I’m Disappointed with Frank Rumbauskas - Don’t Cold Call Me Scam - Warning

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

I’ve bought his books, I’ve listened to his audio books, I referred him to my friends - I liked his stuff, but absolutely no more. Into the bin it all goes.

I’m very, very, pissed off and disappointed with Frank Rumbauskas. To me, now Frank Rumbuaskas has no credibility, no ethics, or sales expertise any more. In fact he’s no better than Matt Bacak.

I even sent him an e-mail warning him this might happen. Nothing.

Once again I have nearly fallen victim to the opt-out magazine subscription scam. This time promoted by Frank Rumbauskas.

The e-mail bait came courtesy of Frank Rumbauskas, a guy I used to like and respect for his “Never Cold Call” series of products.

I’ve made good money from Frank’s advice the last 2 years, so I owe him. But this opt-out magazine scam really sucks.

He’s is promoting an offer from Mike Filsaime. I don’t know jack-shit about Mike except to read the fine print.

Same MO as a lot of scam-stars …

1. Send an e-mail to your list of loyal followers
2. Hype up the offer and the time limit to act
3. Don’t mention in your e-mail the sting - the $29 per month that you have to sign up to to get the offer
4. Bank you affiliate checks and forever be cast an yet another Internet scammer
5. Spend the next 7 years of your life trying to resurrect your reputation and get blog posts deleted like this one

Here’s the evidence. What do you think?

If you think it’s unethical, sleazy, dishonest, or somewhat too-clever-by-half, then unsubscribe from Frank’s mailing list right now. Trust me … he will notice.

Frank, fess-up and go back to your knitting. Your reputation must be worth more than the commissions you’re getting from Mike Filsaime.

I used to like Frank too. Maybe hard times has led him to sell his soul? Very sad. Thanks for the warning.

If the costs of the offer was stated upfront then there wouldn’t be a problem. I agree that this sort of marketing is sleazy and unprofessional. The “nominal” shipping and handling charges get more visibility than the ongoing $29.95 per month.

I don’t get it. Frank is dishonest because he is promoting Mike’s product - that’s cool. Wait he’s sleazy because “you” failed to read what was clearly stated on the page?!? Yeah it’s smaller in print but how large would you like the print to be?

I got this promotion from Frank’s email list and I read the “entire” sale page. I got to the fine print - READ IT - and DECIDED not to buy.

Response: I’d like the price to be stated upfront in Frank’s initial e-mail promoting the product.

He probably needs the 29.95 to cover his mortgage for his massive Newport coast home. As most homes there are in the millions. However for most of you that aren’t aware. The area in which FR operates is considered to be one of the white collar crime capitals of the US! LOL .. Ever watched the now canceled show the OC, well thats where Frank lives :P

I certainly understand how some people could veiw this as a disappointment with Frank. However, Frank is more of an Internet Marketer now than he is a salesperson. I think he left the selling profession in 2001.

His book changed the selling world in so many ways. I think you are being a little hard on him in this post. However, the pitch was a little misleading. Just my thoughts.
